The short and long for closing positions, successfully.
It doesn’t always get down to the numbers. The numeric offers given to candidates is at an approximate 30 percent increase. The company knows that there are more than 10,000 candidates for each position in question. So why is your candidate the one that deserves the prize- the job!
You know your candidate is up to the mark for the position but you also don’t know how they will fare in the job interview. So for the short and long considerations that stump an employee during an interview, you have to absolutely become the parent. Guide them through the easy as well as difficult questions that highlight their skills and their seriousness about the job in question. Here are some points to help them succeed in the process:
To close successfully, offer your candidates the pep up that everyone is looking for in their career. If your candidate’s demands are realistic, then support them from the beginning to the end. Don’t tell them to fight, but apply the honesty and transparency that your candidate deserves along the way. It all starts with educating your candidates and offering them the truth about the job responsibilities, organization, compensation and benefits, you’re showing them the path forward.
Being specific during the interview rounds. Showcase your skills confidently by using examples of situations in the past, flanking their mark sheets or certificates, or even projects successfully completed during their university or early work years. Make them know about the skills and how you have grown from it during the career. Sell yourself effectively: is key.
Hard skills can be validated through documents and recommendation letters. What about soft skills? You don’t learn to sharpen those skills in college or school. Tell them to use the STAR approach: Situation, Task, Action and Result. Recall past examples of difficult situations during work or college and how you successfully handled them with positive results. This approach helps you logically and quickly explain your problem solving, listening, collaborating and communication skills. Highlight the problematic situation, state the task that you were to do, what action plan did you use and what were the results.
Now that your candidate has shown the employee the cards they are holding, it’s time to close the position. Sometimes the candidates hesitate in stating their reasons for the hike they want in wages. Here you can privately listen to their concerns such as traveling expenses, deductions and concerns about kids schools being nearby to the location. Make sure your candidate states those reasons to the employer and so they can effectively listen to your concerns and anticipations about their new job position. This helps the employers discuss a salary figure that is fair to the employee and makes them feel less anxious about the organization and their value in it.
