The Rite to Love (2015): The Rite to Love is a story of two individuals blending their love and life into one home and protecting their relationship with much love and care. They are a common law couple that feel that they don’t need the marriage tag. It was my first book of handling a precious bond of love through the lens of a very unfavorable world.
Girl in the City (2019): Relationshipsare never a walk in the park. They have their sorrows and joys. The situations that arise in life are exacerbated when you are faced with a force that is out to refrain you from succeeding in love. The main character in the book deals with ambition, marriage across the globe, motherhood and having a second chance at life with her baby girl.
Women of the Millennium (2019): Irrespective of our traditions and origins, how are we as women shaped ourselves today? It all started with the influx of world television channels and foreign businesses introducing a new culture into our parent countries. Into our homes, playgrounds and schools. We were forced to change and create a more modern version of ourselves. As the title suggests, it aims to use our under- standing of the past as a basis for envisioning a new world of possibilities as daughters, parents, working professionals and partners.
Confessions of a Workaholic (2020): This book was written for my daughter, Aanya Verma. My third literary baby written for my first human baby. Work can be severely liberating and sternly burdening at the same time. But what can smoothen the rough ends in our work life is our perspective towards it. Confessions of a Workholic, was created from my own personal experience of starting off as a young accountant and then discovering my own reliance and flexibility after becoming an employee. The story is about a woman who realizes has become a workaholic, a negative term that ends up making herself fall in love with herself through a new set of journeys.
Second Best to None (2022): What globalization has taught us is to experience and accept different cultures and create a new set of values and beliefs of our own, that is unique to us. Just like we were taught to follow our passion in education, we as women are now experiencing dating men with different races. Second Best to None is about four women, dating and loving wholeheartedly and passionately with four foreign men.
This is Love (2021): This is Love is a poetry book for those in love. It can be a very thoughtful gift as it captures the honest and vulnerable moments of human connection, ranging from the discovery of love, changes, absence and longing.
Mom in the Millennium (2026): This is a project in the works. It will hopefully be published by December 2026. The book consists of three stories of millennial moms raising kids post the 2000s. In the new era, the three stories are about moms trying to tackle parenthood, blending their traditional values and beliefs with new technology and social norms.
